Guardian Of Light

The inspiration for the Guardian of Light is taken from the medieval Knights
And the beacons which were used for lighting and signalling
The sculpture was conceived and built to be used at wicksteed park fireworks display.  On November the 5th 2009 working closely with MLE Pyrotechnics firework fountains were installed in the top. The firework display gave me the opportunity to try out new ideas for the 2012 Olympic celebrations.

Iron Man Of Steel

This sculpture made of sheet metal stands at just over 2 metres. Originally conceived and built for Corus Steel with the intenshions of being installed at the roadmender arts centre Northamption,to highlight its history as a boxing club and gym. But the centre was closed down by the council at the end of 2005 just before its installation.

Templar Knight

The “Guardian of Light” has been transformed into the “Templar Knight”!

The whole concept for the Guardian of Light was for it to be used as part of a firework display and later as a fire beacon or even to be an integral part of the 2012 Olympic celebrations. This limits the exhibiting opportunities to nights or late evenings. The changes now made enable the sculpture to be exhibited all year round. He’s been finished in time to take part in the Woburn Artbeat exhibition and will be displayed on Woburn village green until the end of April 2010. He will then go on to be exhibited at Wicksteed Park.
